The bomb in the end, ultimately saved a lot more Japanese lives than even American lives. It would have gotten ugly had we invaded the Japanese islands.
I searched far and wide for any Nagasaki articles that were more historical & analytical, rather than about Japan's amnesia, but unfortunately couldn't find any.
