I put nearly 100,000 miles on my last Ford truck. Could've welded the hood shut if not for oil requirements. I totaled it (and three trees) so I no longer own it ;). Pushing 40,000 perfect miles on this one. Wasn't the hummer rated most unreliable from a different source?

I'll tell you about a good truck. I bought a Dakota (88 model) in December of 87. In 98, with 105,000 miles on it, I sold it to a friend. I only had to replace the water pump during that time. My friend is still driving it, he's replaced the fuel pump only. The paint is shot, the upholstery is torn, the dash is cracked, and the truck generally looks like a piece of crap. But it burns no oil, runs great, and has almost 200,000 miles on it.

I kick myself every time I see it. Wife totalled my 98 Chevy and my 2000 Chevy has a fuel guage sender that doesn't work, and it will cost $500 to fix it (the part alone ios $200!).

I think I'll buy a Toyota Tundra next time. Or maybe a Ram.
