One of 11 missing Egyptian students has been picked up in Minneapolis, Minn., NBC News’ Pete Williams reported and the FBI confirmed Wednesday.

Local police in New Jersey also believe they have apprehended two more of the Egyptian students. Federal agents, however, have not yet confirmed the identities of these students.

Eslam Ibrahim Mohamed El-Dessouki, 21, was arrested "without incident" by FBI and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, FBI Special Agent Richard Kolko said.

El-Dessouki is being held on an administrative immigration violation because he did not turn up for his monthlong exchange program at Montana State University, Kolko said.

The missing students pose no terrorism threat, Kolko said.

Did they intend to?

"3 down. All nabbed in suspected jihaddi strongholds.

"

Really? There are 9 mosques in Minnesota, one of the lowest numbers in the USA. Try California, where there are over 200.

Give it a break or get your facts right, please.

"And Corzine."

I'm not following you....do you mean McGreavy had a thing for Corzine, or that Corzine has a thing for mid-eastern college boys?

"There are a lot of NJ diners/restaurants that hire middle eastern folk under the table to work in the kitchen or as waiters if they speak english. Also the majority of them are Egyptians from my experience. I found them to be very clannish and the vast majority of them do not like Americans one bit."

Eek! I hate to think what they must do to the food before they serve it.

The Case of the Bennigan’s Caesar Salad

Excerpts:

“Did Caesar salad kill a healthy teen?” asks a headline in today’s Newark Star-Ledger.

(snip)

- She ate a Caesar salad and drank a Dr Pepper.

- Tara became violently ill. Within two days, she was hospitalized with kidney failure, apparently the result of food poisoning that left her severely dehydrated.

- Lawyers for Bennigan’s deny the allegations and say there is no evidence to suggest the meal she ate caused her illness.

(/snip)

What is no longer available on the web is Benigan's was using illegal immigrants.

This story died before it got legs.

Tara, a 16 year old is still dead.

The question is: what will law enforcement do with these possible terrorists? Hopefully, enforce the law.

It was definitely further north than New Brunswick.

It could have been as far up as Elizabeth or Orange...

My thought too. If they were travelling together and had a common destination, supposedly, I would think they would be together too.

Don't forget that Zacharias Moussouoi was nabbed in Minneapolis too! Just because there are not too many mosques in Minnesota does not mean they are not here. The number of Somali's in Minnesota is up in the many thousands. I think the mosque count is greatly understated.

I saw a piece on the news last night where the FBI was requesting that people keep an eye out for them....but they would not provide photos of the guys. The height of stupidity.

"The number of Somali's in Minnesota is up in the many thousands."

That's true, for sure. OTOH, I don't believe there have been that many Somalis arrested for terrorist activities. I don't think they have time...they're all driving cabs in double shifts.

On the other hand, I saw three Mennonite women in full dress in a thrift store today. That's what I'm worried about.
