WHEN Barbra Streisand sings, the cash register rings at Bill Clinton's favourite charity.
With a gift of $US1 million ($1.3 million), Streisand has selected the former president's Climate Change Initiative as the first recipient to benefit from the millions she has pledged to charitable causes generated by her upcoming national concert tour.
The gift helped make Streisand the leading contributor to Mr Clinton's effort to bring together a consortium of key cities around the world to drive down greenhouse gas emissions.
Streisand recently announced that she would undertake a concert tour in October and November to help raise money for organisations dealing with environmental, women's health and educational issues.
A spokesman for Streisand said she has been funding efforts to deal with global climate change since the late 1980s.

I don't know, but imagine the Clinton's will benefit indirectly. Many of these leftist charities probably employ the unemployable children of rich leftist donors.

On the other hand, donors who would otherwise support Democrat party candidates are being fleeced now, just before the midyear elections.
Folks who are willing to pay X per year on politics will just pay their X to Clinton's "Charity" rather to actual candidates.

What the heck kind of "charity" is the Climate Change Initiative? I thought charity was for unfortunate people, like sick, hurt, displaced, hungry, etc.
All I'll say is that I have friends who are not as pretty as this. Then again they aren't pretending to be; they are genuine folks, and good company to boot!
Didn't Hillary go into a stark raving snit about Barbara spending the night at the [white] house when Hillary wasn't there? Now Babs is out raising money in the name of Bubba. I can't figure all this out without a diagram.
Who can tollerate sitting for an hour listening to babs trumpeting out screachng sounds through that huge shnozzle, further amplified beyond ear splitting magnitude?
Someone should ask ms. Shnozzle exactly how does money stop global warming? Didn't evil capitolist money (the system which made it possible for her to earn money) CAUSE global warming in the first place?
Why doesn't she take up gardening and donate tree seedlings to Clintons charity instead? (As if the useless twat could grow something by herself)
