The MI5 and UK Intelligence Community websites are displaying that the UK Terror Threat Level has been raised to 'Critical', which indicates an attack is expected imminently.

Can someone explain to me why it is always transporation with these wackos when it comes to the UK and the US ? (9/11, shoe bomber, other foiled plots, etc.) Wouldn't an attack on a shopping mall or a club be far simpler and cause just as much terror?

LONDON — Authorities in London thwarted a terrorist plot to blow up an aircraft in mid-flight between the United States and the United Kingdom using explosives smuggled in hand luggage, police said Thursday.

Security at the country's airports increased and additional measures were put in place for all flights.

British Airways advised all passengers that they would not be permitted to carry any hand baggage on board any aircraft departing from any airport in the country.
