Although they were outnumbered, two men fought off attackers in a south Minneapolis apartment robbery with a souvenir sword. At least one attacker left some fingers behind.

Four men who broke into a south Minneapolis apartment early Wednesday had their hands full when two friends inside wrestled for the intruders' weapons and left at least one suspect minus fingers.

Police were called to the apartment building in the 3100 block of Lyndale Avenue S. about 3:30 a.m. on a report of a stabbing. Four men, one with a handgun, forced their way into a third-floor apartment, apparently to burglarize it, police said.

They will just "file" his whole finger. Next time, if there are no prints at the crime scene, they will know it was done by the fingerless perp. Sheesh! :0 )

How is a sincere criminal, trying hard, going to get ahead in his profession if his victim fails to cooperate?
Almost all crime depends on the cooperation of the victim. If the victim refuses his assigned role, the criminal is placed at a disadvantage, one so severe that it usually takes an understanding and compassionate judge to set right.

Ewwww.. That was bad. But then, we shouldn't point fingers about bad humor. This does bring a caveat to "If you are found her tonight, you will be found here tomorrow".

It was the nine-fingered man...

On the other hand, though, I really liked the closing paragraph:
"'I never thought of him as somebody having martial-arts skills,' Magnus Blair said. 'He is just a regular guy with a powerful golf swing.'"
