I agree. Lieberman is as much a supporter of the Democrats' agenda of turning America into a French-style, secular-socialist welfare state as any other liberal Democrat, but Lamont is complete laughing stock. I don't know where the rats found that kid, but talk about a deer in the headlights - - whew! I would prefer Lieberman to that mouse Lamont if only to spank MoveOn and the rest of the goofball left.
Things sometimes scroll so fast, I lose "conversations". On the bright side, even if all of my posts are ignored, it still feels like "someone" around here is willing to talk to me. lol
lol
Connecticut ping!
Please Freepmail me if you want on or off my infrequent Connecticut ping list.
Saw in another article yesterday, the Dems are not targeting the Connecticut race for cash support because Lamont has his own money, and either way (Lamont/Lieberman) they figure it's a win-win situation for them.
I also read elsewhere where Lieberman plans to caucus with the Dems after the election. No surprise there.
Right; not all Democrats are DUmmies, and we need to keep remembering that, as the elections get closer.
Since this is a win-win situation for the Democrats (not the DUmmies) anyway, it's a better "investment" to put money where another Democrat stands a chance of unseating a Republican.....and besides, the J.P. Morgan heir has his own, circa $200 million.
I have never understood this Democratic--and DUmmie--infatuation with the extremely wealthy.
I'm not sure (as far as Democrats are concerned) it's a facination with wealth as much as it is with wealthy leftists. They know where their bread is buttered. And it provides those wealthy leftists (aka. the Kennedys, the FDR clan, the Dodds, Kerry's wife, et al) an opportunity to shape government.
"either way (Lamont/Lieberman) they figure it's a win-win situation for them"
The Democrats assume far too much here.
Joe Lieberman has always been strong-willed and independent.
And loyal.
The Democrats were just disloyal to him.
Joe is going to run as an independent, pitching to the REST of Connecticut.
There is no particular reason to believe that, if he is elected, Joe will throw over his new friends in favor of his old ones. He has never been known to do that. He might caucus with the Democrats, but he'll be more independent than ever, because he doesn't NEED their party if he is elected with as big a margin as he will probably get.
Hmmm?
Rather degrading to the Stooges.
Let's make it....um...Another turd jumps into the punch bowl?
That could well be true, even likely. Time will tell. The fact is, however, that the Dems are now forced to back a candidate that likely won't win in place of one who's been on their ticket through three elections, and even was their Vice Presidential candidate 6 years ago.
This is where their growing association with the DUmmies has taken them. I can't believe everyone in that party has their blinders on and hasn't realized this. It doesn't bode well for Democratic incumbents unless they toe the line.
Exactly.
There is no doubt Joseph Lieberman is a loyal Democrat--he voted the Democratic party-line 90+% of the time, a higher percentage than most DUmmie icons.
But being compelled to run as an independent shifts the thoughts, even among the most loyal.
It is reasonable to suspect that after January 3, 2007, Joseph Lieberman while still adhering for the most part to the Democratic party-line, is going to loosen up a bit, voting that party-line perhaps only 75% or 80% of the time.
The DUmmies had a loyal Democrat, but tossed him overboard because of their infatuation with a wealthy scion of Wall Street who, as it now appears, has not a snowball's chance in the Lower Place, of winning.
HAH! Yet another opportunity for the DUmmies to get mad at the Greens in their midst. Let the fun begin!
This is still not on the DUmmie radar, though.
Apparently arrogance is a factor here; the DUmmies appear to believe that the J. P. Morgan heir will inevitably win no matter what, and so this latest entry doesn't make any difference.
It's not good for the future of the republic that there's so many voluntarily ignorant among us, but oh well; November should be fun.
This is unreal. Am I seeing things, or is it possible that the DUmmies STILL haven't picked up on this choice bit of news?
I will enjoy seeing Lamont lose.
It'll be the biggest joke on the democrats.
Hopefully they never catch on that they need to shake themselves loose of the moon bats.
how about write in for ann?
