There is no Republican with name recognition in Connecticut to win this race. Maybe Jack Welch can throw is hat into the ring and run as a Republican. At least he can do better than Alan Schlesinger.
Well, it might be an idea worth exploring, finding a last-minute decent Republican candidate.
It's not that the other side hasn't done this before.
