I'd investigate a bit mroe before you back the wrong horse. The underlying premise of this article is true - meanign you can't point out the fact that black gangs are the perps. But this bonehead officer did not help this cause.

Violent crime in DC actually had gone way down from the dark Marion Barry mayoral days and in recent years it had become a much safer city. Lately though, it is definitely going back on the rise again for some reason, which is a concern.
But that would be an insult to most third cities.
We can thank a couple of generations of the leftist conventional thought for this situations.
First there is the nonrecognition of the fact that there always have been bad people, those in every society that are not fit to be with the public. There should be no compromise between order and evil. And this story is just the tip of the iceberg. When these guys aren't stalking white people, they are ruining their own community.
But more important is the orthodox liberal's attempt to separate moral behavior from the biblical principles that has inspired the best in American history. Without the force of God, exhortations to good behavior are just worthless wimpy PC whining with no effect on the hearts of men.
Without God, we are raising generations without working consciences.

D.C. is just another Third World country with all the corruption, ineptness and brazen dishonesty that go along with that. Going there at all is nuts and going there unarmed and unprepared to defend yourself is certifiably insane. The violence and crime have long ago spread out to the Maryland suburbs.

I am surprised the Metro has remained as safe as it has. I suppose that will change too, eventually. Or maybe if assaults on tourists and residents increase, we might not be forewarned anyway since the "news" media won't want to reveal the true situation.

About 3 weeks ago the ComPost ran a huge article about the lack of blacks living in Georgetown and a whole 200 years history of blacks in that part of town.
There has been a mini-crime wave this summer here in DC with tourists getting mugged and some murders in Georgetown. Eleanor Holmes Norton is a loser and a nutbag, but at least she has been calling for more police patrols because she does not want to see tourists mugged in her city.
