Fresno police say as many as 10 men most of them current or former football players at local junior colleges sexually assaulted an 11-year-old girl.
Two of the men, Mackey Lee Davis, 20, and Eddie Scott, 19, were arrested Saturday night at the west-central Fresno apartment where the assault allegedly occurred. They face two felony sex charges, including child molestation."

So what's the problem. Suspend the entire team, cancel their season, call in the Black Panthers as counselors. Also, here's a link to a TV station which has this story on their site.
Alert the Duke agitators!
If nothing else, indict them and set their bail at 400,000 dollars. Worry about evidence later.
If true, these cretins should spend the rest of their miserable lives in prison.
This might be interesting to watch for parallels, and/or lack thereof.
We should all notice the LACK of a certain type of information about all parties concerned.
"This might be interesting to watch for parallels, and/or lack thereof."
Not that this should be a racial issue, but if want to look for "parallels" we have to know the race of the accused and the victim.
"We should all notice the LACK of a certain type of information about all parties concerned."
Noticed that too.
I wonder....
Why?
Isn't this (and has been for 30 years or so) the normal path to becoming "professional" (duh!) multimillionaire footbal players?
Ask me why I detest professional sports...

If guilty, no mercy.
On the news broadcast last night, two photos were shown of black males. However in today's Bee, there were no photos. I'm shocked, just shocked!
On second thought this shouldn't be compared the Duke. There's the possibility that a rape could have taken place here.
Well now, don't forget, this IS Kaleefornia, and anything is possible! (I wonder if Bill O'Reilly will air this story.)
And I doubt the 11 year old is a hooker.
No, but it sounds like she is well on her way.
Castration: does a rapist good.
You know, that's an EXCELLENT point!
That'll come out soon enough. Or not, and the whole thing just get swept into a media black hole. Which will tell us a lot, too.
Wouldn't matter. An 11 year old can't consent.
California papers only describe ethnicity of perpetrators when they are white, so the conclusion is simple.
That could be as many as 10 sets of dingleberries when this case is through. But this is Kaleefornia, and that won't happen.
I have no idea what would BeLACK ing in that article..........
Forget prison. HANG them at dawn the day after they are convicted! Vermin such as this shouldn't be allowed to live and be supported by taxpayers.
Least anyone reading this thread and its rant have any misperception, the anger here is NOT about the possiblity of black on white crime -- it is in large part about the media bias in reporting white on black crime vs. the reporting on black on white crime. It is also about the way certain parts of the Durham community went out of its way to inject race as an issue in the Lacross case where none apparently existed.
I take that back, race was and is an issue, but in that it is the white athletes who have been held to a different standard because of their race.
Yep, we have no idea yet if this case is totally without merit, unlike some other case. This could have been a brutal crime where heads should roll.
It's obvious what the media is doing here.
This will be minimized and ignored. Their actions will be excused. After all, football players are the "oppressed" and lacross players are the "oppressors".
Poor kid never had a chance. Can't help but think her mom's a mess, and she doesn't know her dad.
Either that or hire them as Airport Security Screeners.
That's my take also. This little girl has no chance. Her chance at a decent life was over before it started.
Agree wholeheartedly.
Generally speaking you're probably correct.
However, there are some girls who develop very early. Moreover, a kid can tart herself up to look a lot older than she really is. When you couple that with a bunch of guys thinking with their little heads, you get something like this.
In the past, this incident would have been largely ignored, proving your point with ease. Now thanks to FreeRepublic, this just went worldwide! It's hard for the press ot excuse and hide now! (But they'll keep trying anyway)
"For the time they've been here, they haven't thrown any wild parties," she said. "They haven't been doing anything crazy. They stay in the apartment.
I feel bad for them. That's just their life thrown away for something that childish."
That is apparently what the girl told them...

"A poor excuse for a failure to grasp the basics of english. When in doubt, throw an "izzle" sound in the middle of any word of just string random thoughts together and insinuate that they actually mean something. When backed into a corner, you can always claim that it has something to do with a sort of symbolism or is a defining trait that makes your race great, versus own up to the fact that it is essentially laziness at it's finest.
Plim-plizzle, my nizzle, don' foget bouts tha six-fo, chuch, dawg up in da hood, chilly my grilly. fo sho.

I remember checking into a Houston hotel - there was a clerk that warned me of a girl in the hotel that went around telling men she was 17 but she was really 12.
She was there with Grandparents, long term stay for Houston Flooding.
I ran into her - I interviewed her - poor kid said she was molested at some very early age - I think she said 5 yrs old.
The problem of evil - it's vast and ever present.
I was struck by that quote as well. Makes it sound like gang rape is OK as long as you're not into anything worse. This neighborhood is a case study in Defining Deviancy Down.
When young children are molested, they tend to become very sexually active in their teens.
"Forget prison. HANG them at dawn the day after they are convicted! Vermin such as this shouldn't be allowed to live and be supported by taxpayers."
To do that, you're going to have to move to California and start working to change the death penalty laws in that state.
Right now, rape does not carry the death penalty in California, so my suggestion is about the best that can be hoped for in this case.
At least one of they guys girlfriend ran out to call police.
As I understand it, there was one encounter that was "consensual." Then, others took advantage of her and she was raped vaginally and anally. There was some vaginal bleeding during the hospital examination.

In the South, folks idiomatically say, "fixin' to", when referring to a future action. Is this "fittin to"...
California-speak?
Ebonics?
A sub-normal mentality symptom?
And ...is it the actual words of the victim -- or verbal coloration by "Smith"?
Also, a bunch of "teenagers" gave up "their" female companion to a bunch of college students -- without a protest? Or was that the victim's choice -- at first...?
Very strange...

Methinks there is much more to this story...
FWIW, when I went back to the Fresno Bee to check facts, it required a login. Is the first view free?
Jealousy?
Let me see, only 11 and already a runaway from a group home?
That alone says a bunch. Trouble with a capital T.
That answers half the equation. How did I know before even reading your post? Rhetorical question of course.
You are generally correct. However, when I was around 18 there was a young girl of 12 in our church who REALLY looked like she was 20. And a stunning 20. Visiting young men had to be warned off her in advance.
Lots of the posts here seem to assume that what happened would have been okay if she weren't so young. It's immoral and illegal to rape anyone, regardless of age.
(Although the age makes it much worse.)
What the heck is that supposed to mean?
