I'll tell you why the mood of the passengers is different than the mood of 9/11. After 9/11, an attack that succeeded, people were terrified it would happen again, 3000 people gone, snuffed for no good reason, that is terrifyig.

This time we foiled the plot. People are reassured that someone is looking out for them, not the dimwit party, and had succeeded in keeping them safe. Why fear flying when they have taken down the terrorists that might have blown you out of the sky?

This is why republicans will win in Nov, this is why the talking points fat Ted and the other rats are using about how foiling this plot shows failure are being ignored by most people. It is plain to the average citizen that this was NOT a failure and only someone with no brain what-so-ever would even consider it so.

It's amazing how the media was trying to turn the frustrations at LAX into a major problem. The media was making a lot of nothing, and in the end worsened the situation early on as their hyperventilating caused an early - and unnecessary - rush to the airports.

What was interesting is how some airlines, Continental (E-checkin) were able to handle the change in security while others, Delta, couldn't.

Like AJ says, this was a badge of honor that we succeeded and foiled the plot. We succeeded because the Rep. are in power and we have a president that doesn't sway with the polls. You are right, Republicans will win in November because the Dems like Lamont want to have "surrender parades" versus defeating the terrorists.
