H'WOOD MORONS SUDDENLY CLAM UP
NY Post ^ | August 11, 2006 | Andrea Peyser

STRANGE and unfamiliar sound emanated from Hollywood yesterday - total silence. It now looks as if the 9/11 attacks were just meant to be a tepid dress rehearsal for the big show. The atrocities that were narrowly averted yesterday - planes bound for our shores, to be blown up in midair by men who hate - prove one thing beyond doubt:

If we care to watch our children grow up, get old enough to retire to Florida, or simply live to see another dawn, we must be vigilant. We cannot relax.

The bullet we dodged whizzed by frighteningly close. That the thousands, perhaps more, that were targeted for death are alive today is testament to the success of governments in Britain and the United States. The ones so viciously maligned by the lefty set who, if allowed to dictate policy, would destroy this nation in a matter of hours.

So it was stunning not to hear the nasal voice of Barbra Streisand, slamming the president in a time of war. Just this past January, Babs was in her usual form in her incoherent blog. She wrote:

"Is this the America we have been fighting for? The Bush administration has failed once more in their [sic] mission to make American safer.

"There is an increasing anti-American sentiment in the Middle East."

John Murtha of Pennsylvania, the House's chief voice of enemy-appeasement - he's called for an unconditional cease-fire in Lebanon and said U.S. Marines "killed innocent civilians in cold blood" in Haditha - was also not in a talkative mood.

Nor was Susan Sarandon, who declared, at a peace rally in Washington after the war in Iraq commenced, that "terrorism cannot be fought with violence."

Damn, Susan. How would you fight it?

We have been reminded in

Where is the example where terrorism is successfully overcome by talking? Where is it, Ms. Sarandon?

"They were already killing us while Clinton was fumbling with his dink."

It goes all the way back to Carter.
We should have went to war over the hostages and seizing of the embassy.

Maybe it's been posted somewhere else, if so my apology.

But am I the only one who beleives they weren't going to blow themselves up over the ocean, but wait until they were at the gate or just on approach?

This article is intellectually dishonest.

It's not like the media would swarm these celebs as they do a high government official within 24 hours to get their opinions and statements.

Give Mss. Streisand, Saradon & friends another 48 hours and the tabloids and blogs will be chuck full of their crappy views.

They will blame the war in iraq and other so-called 'failed' policies for this latest attempt by the British Pakistani muslims to blow up airliners.

And I think you are correct! Conservatives are problem solvers. First the problem has to be identified. Then, a solution has to be proposed. Then it must be enacted and evaluated, and changed when necessary. Finally, the problem is solved. Liberals can't get past identifying the problem. It takes too much time, effort, and mental acuity.

Ya you see them cutting back. Please they are not hurting and most likely never will. I don't understand how people can buy into this. You and I live on 60K a year and we are pitying them for living on 18 million a film instead of 20 million.

Viacom ( think CBS) will be planting stories that will purport the well timed plot was launched to discredit their revisionist film The World Trade Center.

More and more celebs (and rich folks in general) are either buying their own planes or buying/leasing fractional ownership in private jets. As fewer celebs fly commercial airlines, you can expect them to worry (even) less than they already do about terror in the air.

The Hollywood morons fly more than most of us. They are looking the death cult in the face.

Ding, ding, ding!

Not that I wish anyone ill, but these clowns (as documented here many times on FR) spew their anti-Administration / anti-US / anti-Bush rhetoric to applauding European audiences and media.

One wonders about the level of anti-Bush vitriol that would be present in a Sarandon, Depp, or a Streisand placidly drinking their champaigne or chi-chi bottled water in the First Class Cabin at the moment someone behind them screams "Allah Acbar"!

Hey, Tom Cruise ain't gonna get his $10 mil. a year to dream up new ideas, like another MI movie. Gee, that's gotta hurt.

Looks like the H-morons might be facing making some 'war theme' movies in order to keep their checkbooks filled to pay for those Malibu mansions.

What was it that Chuck Schumer was complaining about at Heathrow yesterday? Its never about terrorism, its about some supposed inconvienance of the annointed/enlightened ones, or trampling/infringement of someones rights. Its never about the terrorism.

Like the question one of the Freepers posed to the international desk at NYT "You guys bummed out that you didn't get the information soon enough to print on the front page so as to warn the terrorists something was afoot?" The person who answered the phone responded: "What kind of question is that?" and hung up.

Bwahhahhahhahhahhah NYT reporter hangs up

Its never about the terrorism.

I can't help but smile at your comment as I've often had the same feeling. The 9/11 celebrity thing was nothing if not extremely weird. I admire those that go entertain the troops but the 9/11 thing, where Julia Roberts came on stage and intoned, with great emotion, "God is Great" was insane as was her choice of words. I could hardly believe she chose Allah Akbar as her contribution. And later I heard that many of the celebs were given "gifts" for their appearance.

Dear Susan, you blithering twit..

The islamofacsist doesn't want you to feel his pain; he wants to inflict pain and death upon you. He doesn't want to hold hands around the campfire singing kumbaya, he wants to slit your child's throat while you watch.

Seek profession help Susan, for your delusions of... everything.

Only cause he is an idiot. If he did not do the stupid dance on the couch he would still be getting his normal pay. That is something Hollywood punishes them for not politics. For the most part I wish you were more correct than you are. They need a significant loss of income for them to wake up and it just is not going to happen at this time. This year the box office is up from the previous couple years. I guess last year they did lose a bit and they of course were crying, but I don't pity them at this time. I mean if they started to give them normal paychecks and then they lowered their pay, then they would certainly get SOME pity from me.
