Clinton Denounces Cheney for Terrorism Comments
WNYC radio ^ | August 11, 2006 | WNYC Newsroom

Senator Hillary Clinton has denounced Vice President Dick Cheney for saying terrorists would be emboldened by the results of Connecticut's Democratic Primary.

REPORTER: That's where an anti-war candidate defeated Senator Joe Lieberman.

CLINTON: I don't take anything he says seriously anymore. I think that he has been a very counterproductive even destructive force in our country and I am very disheartened by the failure of leadership from the president and vice president.

REPORTER: During a campaign stop in the Bronx yesterday, Clinton accused the administration of shortchanging New York of its homeland security money.

A spokeswoman for the vice president said his comments on the importance of a strong national security strategy "speak for themselves."

One of the reason the Dems lost in 2000 and 2004 is that they have NEVER taken Cheney seriously.

Bubba didn't do anything about terrorism. He just sat there and took it.

Does Mr. Clinton really think that the terrorists weren't uplifted by the results of Tuesday's primary in CT?

Mr. Clinton, we stopped taking anything you said seriously on January 20, 1993.

What a fool.

Nag Nag Nag. Hillary's campaign motto should be, "Vote Hillary! It'll be like voting for your ex-wife!"

"I am very disheartened by the failure of leadership from the president and vice president."

...Daschle would be "deeply saddened".

She`s the Paris Hilton of politics without the looks. Nobody can figure out what she does but she keeps on getting press anyway. I live in New York city, and to this day I can`t think of anything she has done. To me it seems all she has done since being bought into office is go on an 8 month book tour and complain. For example, a few years ago we had an electrical blackout here in Queens N.Y. for about a day. Hillary came out and complained about Bush, like it was his fault, and she said she would make sure this blackout would never happened again. Last month we had another blackout, only this time even worse. I was without electric for about a week, and once again what did Hillary do? She complained. She does absolutely NOTHING but complain!

She certainly does seem to have an unusual pose as a politician--she isn't someone those who need something go to to get it, she's one of the victims, too, as if she had absolutely no ability to help. In a crisi, she's out there saying "Yeah, we ought to find whoever's responsible for this!" Well, Hillary, that's your job.

Of course they will be.

It is silly for her to deny it.

It's amazing that Harry Reid, Ted Kennedy and Nancy Pelosi instantly used the foiling of the hijacks to attack the Administration. Apparrently it's perfectly acceptable for her party to politicize national security but not for the Vice President.

The plain fact is our enemies take heart when their opponents are removed from the battlefield - in this case by election. Sen. Lieberman is going to be one aggrieved Democrat when he retains his seat. He will look on Chris Dodd and the rest of the party that threw him overboard as not worthy of loyalty.

Tee hee. We had Daschle being disappointed and now we have her heinous being disheartened.

Seems to me she is going to meet the same end, defeated at the polls.

Slickette has triangulated her policy statement into a twisted pretzel. She believes in nothing and stand for nothing except her own ambitions.
