Crist worries conservatives

TALLAHASSEE -- Republican Tom Gallagher is betting his political life on an appeal to Christian and social conservatives. And at least one of his supporters in those groups say their own future is at stake in Gallagher's quest to be governor.

Gallagher has earned the endorsement of Florida Right to Life, as well as vocal support of most social conservative leaders in the state. His goal: Win the hearts of Republicans most likely to get out and vote on Sept. 5.

I keep a notepad and document same. I'm not afraid to tell the truth. If you aren't familiar with Pinellas County corruption, you can google it for yourself.

If the "death agenda" is so harmless why should you or he worry?

I'm sorry. I don't want to get caught online posting to you when the cops break down your door.

For further details, this gentleman has placed new information in a mayonnaise jar on your front porch.

Bottom line: you (MJ) have no idea what "precedential" means, for someone who likes to make big legal talk.

You also seem okay with whatever passed for "law" during those shameful, black days.

The big question is what could we have done about it at that time... that would have actually worked, in light of the fact that the FL. Supreme Court was just waiting to jump on it.

Depending on the government for a "solution" is absurd. When has that ever really worked?

A governor who was so opposed to evil that he would charge into a constitutional crisis and literally shoot down the tinpot dictatorship in Pinellas would have said something really powerful, whatever the pushback -- but that is water under the bridge. Now, to get at Florida's constitution to prevent future Terris is IMHO the highest priority. There is just enough fuzz around the edge of her case (remember, it's "clear and convincing" not "beyond a reasonable doubt" that did her to death -- same kind of standard that would apply to overturning a last will and testament) that it opens the door to a wide road of mischief to people who did NOT ask for such death but their significant others and family lied convincingly.

And secondarily, sit out Crist. If you can't stomach Gallagher, well fine, but don't give your vote to a boot licker of evil.

I'm sick of looking out the window to see if I'm being surveilled.

You're right....I think I just spotted some of them:

You may have me confused with a Crist fan/supporter. I am neither.

I am disappointed that we don't have better choices.

It's like "bad vs. worse".

I am not in Orlando, but live in central Florida. Charlie Crist is an empty suit who thinks that he is the heir apparent to the governors mansion. He is not, despite what all his ad say, a Conservative. "Chain Gang Charlie" will not get my vote, the vote of my wife, the votes of my children or the votes of any of our family.

By the way, welcome to Free Republic!

Our vote is for Crist. My husband worked under Gallagher while he was Insurance Commissioner. Husband said he was a 'crook' and wasted the Insurance Department's resources the entire time. Gallagher says he's a Christian now so I'll believe him; but he sure became one at a convenient time.

The Schiavo case will remain an issue. Those who stood by during the excruciating, sadistic two-week murder of Terri Schiavo and did nothing should never get a vote from any decent human being. It sounds like Crist was one of the animals who watched, self-satisfied with his nose in the air, as Schiavo was slowly tortured and murdered through state-enforced starvation and dehydration over a publicly televised two-week span.

How could a man like that show his face in public? Whew.
Vote for him? The thought is sickening.

I view him more as a populist. He spends a lot of effort bragging about how he put the big insurance companies out of business. Not very helpful if your insurance gets cancelled.
