lol. me too. what a waste of time. Gee, I thought when I grew up that the jobs would come to me and I could just have a huge house and easy life. Reality is tough for everyone. lol.

Archy was "out of date" when I was a kid in the 1950s. Well, Ronnie did watch Ed Sullivan.

Would the Filipino even WANT that? He has to remember, he didn't get to import the rest of his society with him when he immigrated.

She had to catch it one minute before, because it took that long for the tube-type electronics to warm up.

I am not saying they did not keep up with the times in some ways, but their characters were out of date in the 1950s.

I had the same problem when I went to Japan. I expected life to be like Pokemon but it was more like Adult Anime...

Earth to Jericho. It's a comic book. Are you also disappointed that Superman isn't flying overhead, on the way to battle Lex Luthor?

Let's see: he made an idiotic decision to believe something false was true and it's everybody else's fault when his bubble bursts.
Sounds to me like he'll fit in America just fine.

This guy dusted off his high school essay and posted it online. He probably thinks it's brilliant because it got an "A". Someone should tell him immigrants in Canada are graded on an affirmative action scale.

Life in America? This guy is in Canada. I don't subscribe to the the theory that every country on the North American continent is "America". There is only one America and that is the US of America.

Because life is like an Archie comic.

You know that seems to be a bone of contention with some of the Canadian nationalists north of the border. They resent the fact that people from the United States have monopolized the name "Americans" when there are several countries within North and South America to which the term should also apply. Make up your mind already! Isn't their whole identity based around the fact that "we're not American!"
