Angeles police officer assigned to the department's scandal-scarred Rampart Division was charged with making false arrests after he was caught in a sting operation, officials said.
Authorities said Officer Edward Beltran Zamora arrested two undercover officers for investigation of drug possession, although a surveillance video showed they had no drugs.

Well, I have a feeling that a lot of guilty drug dealers are going to be soon let out of prison.
Well, I'm going to bet that he is a natural born American Citizen. But these days, in light of cultural diversity, who knows?

I don't see anything unusual here.
I would have to think that a lot of the drug arrests he has made have been under intense scrutiny for some time now. I would bet that he recently must have made another contested arrest, and they put internal affairs on him and set him up. This is despicable.

I feel sorry for all the other wonderful officers a man like this paints with one stroke when he does this cr@p.

What bothers me is that a good cop can get any number of good felony arrests without having to plant evidence. I will not paint all cops with a false arrest brush because I know it isn't true, but this just makes me burn!

Yeah, they may not have been guilty when he arrested them but they definitely may have been at some other time. Shame.
They have two previous disciplinary actions against him and he's still out there? If they couldn't uphold a termination against him, why not just sit his butt at a desk?

The cop was dirty and they caught him red handed. The cop brought the drugs with him and accused innocent people of a crime. You have a problem with cops catching dirty cops?
Perhaps their union is too powerful. But I think he should have been sat down a long time ago.
Yeah, its kinda hard to win lawsuits due to liabilities cause of mistakes he's making out on patrol.
They could put him charge of the 911 operators or something.
I interpreted your post of "yeah right" to mean you were skeptical that internal affairs set him up on a surveillance and sting. I support that action, and sometimes that is what is needed to catch a dirty cop.
