The media has spent two years denigrating the Swift Boat Vets for Truth. Little do they know how much we honor those vets and don't consdier them in the slightest negative light.

- I don't think that they got it wrong in error. The lie was deliberate.
The MSM has tried at every opportunity to popularize the phrase, "he was swiftboated" as a synonym for "unfairly smeared". After all, they managed to designate the early fifties as, "the McCarthy era" so everyone now automatically accepts it as a time when right wing nuts took over the US government and trampled on everybody's rights in their persecution of innocent citizens as communists.
Just as the dangling chad was their excuse for why Gore lost the election in 2000, the swiftboat excuse is their reason that Kerry lost in 2004.
They must maintain the myth at all costs.

Well, the assumption among the MSM is that the vast majority of Vietnam veterans hold views like those of the Swift Boat veterans. Therefore, any Vietnam vet who comes out against Kerry is a Swift Boater, even if they were in the Army and never came anywhere near a Swift Boat.

This means that only the handful of senior officers acted as spokesmen for an organization that could have several hundred thousand members.

Even the vast majority of post-Vietnam veterans would be honored to be an "honorary" Swift Boater.

As a leopard cannot change its spots, by witnessing John Kerry behave like a weasel before Congress, we have few doubts that his cowardice and treachery existed long before that moment.

I retired in '91 and during my career I only saw one AF warrant officer. In 1971 I was going to tech school at Chanute to be a firefighter. The Chief of the school was a very old W-4.

Even though the LA Times misrepresented Vets For The Truth as other MSM probably will to further their agenda of keeping Dems in office regardless of the despicable actions of some, the truth will come out about Murtha and others like him. Murtha will be exposed for his despicable acts just as John Kerry was and will go down to defeat in November.

Sorry to confuse you ops33, but my "W04Man" handle doesn't stand for W-4. It stands for Bush 2004, ie http://W-04.com. You are right, I retired in '83 and there were not very many warrant officers in the AF. I knew a couple in the late 50s/early 60s.
