I know about First Amendment rules, but isn't this a situation where the Government can argue in court that the open broad-cast high-lighting such vulnerabilities can be viewed as incitement or even potential treason, there-fore subject to a gag rule.
We all know there are vulnerabilities, but why allow a rogue news agency to paint a road-map, connecting the dots for any terrorist cells in this nation? Why should we make it easy for terrorists?

As long as they think it helps Democrats, they don't seem to mind if it helps a few terrorists in the process. The only 'useful' public info CNN seems to promise here is on how to protect ourselves. Now that should be interesting to see what they come up with... I imagine they'll say it involves reporting suspicious activity, staying tuned to CNN, voting Republicans out of office, duct tape, etc.

This will not be news to terrorists, but it will terrify or "katrina-ize" the minds of folks who are just going through life without paying too much attention. This is aimed at demoralizing 'ordinary' Americans into believing that a) we are doomed, and b) it is Bush's fault.

Only one thing though: I'm sure most of this information is based on what the jihadist crowd has known for 20 years or more.
Particularly vulnerable--especially if the terrorist get their hands on a 1 kT improvised nuclear weapon--are major seaports, Union Pacific Railroad's Bailey Yard in North Platte, NE, BNSF Railroad's Barstow Yard in Barstow, CA, FedEx's major air cargo transit hub in Memphis, TE and UPS' major air cargo transit hub in Louisville, KY. Hit any of those and it will could affect the US economy for years.

and whether government's got a clue.
Sheesh, look who's pointing the finger. THEY haven't got a clue & still talk as if we could negotiate with these idiots. If they would just leave the administration alone to do their job, it would be the most helpful thing the press could do.

as cnn gives target locations to the enemy, we should all be thankful that the most precious target of all will not be mentioned. thank you cnn for not giving up our 'un' building so that the forces of 'un' may protect the world from fox. cnn's protection of America has been above and beyond the call of duty. I think President Bush should recognize cnn for their protective programing. Without cnn's protective programing the terror cells would be only making a guess, but with cnn the terror cells can have current information. our 'drive by' media, you have to love 'em. /s

Only a moon bat would think that this is a good idea. It helps make things more "proportionate".
Terrorists aren't going to be our undoing, moon bats are.

I'm back to my old feeling that there is a large segment of the population that does not take terrorism seriously and nothing short of foreign troops invading US soil will change that. Then again, there may be a number who would great the aggressors with open arms.

The MSM has already provided the information for making liquid bombs, i.e. hyrdogen peroxide and nail polish, and if you are in any doubt, they mention that all you have to do is to google the subject. Even Dumb and Dumber would be able to figure it out. In WWII we had a media that cared about the survival of this country. In this war, we have a media that seems to be suicidal.
