Here's the crazy part:
Elites and media types insisted that the much-vaunted "Ethnic Albanians" (illegal aliens, basically) were the "new Jews".
Thus, they were worthy of our support. And by extension the Serbs were the new Nazis...
More specifically, that these MUSLIM brigands were somehow "Jews" was why the US should go in and bomb the living hell out the the folks who rescued our aviators.
At the time, the CNN camerman worked VERY hard to get shots of wailing, kerchieved old "Ethnic Albanian" (sic) women on the screen about 1,000,000 times.
Remember the one about, "Soccor stadium FILLED with dead Ethnic Albanian bodies!" ?
