U.S. conservative talk radio availability is what's really tough: it's either through the internet or, in my case, listening to Rush via often crappy reception from WBEN-am 930 out of Buffalo.
I live in a fringe reception area for the station I get Rush on. Fine in the day, but nighttime reception wasn't too good. I got an external FM antenna which has to be pointed to your station. I also have to tune in a frequency knob. But it helps a lot. Costs enough to make you think about it, maybe. But I find my wife uses it enough to make it well worth it. They make them even better, apparently, but I didn't spring for the ferrite model.

Antenna testing and reviews

Thanks.
Actually, at home I've successfully done all or most of what you advocate so maybe I shouldn't be bitching.

My real problem when it comes to enjoying Rush - or 'Radio Free America' as I calls it - is the 12-3:00 pm time slot as often as not finds me in the car.
