I don't know. If I was one of the donors, I'd be worried about it.

Again, WHERE IS THE FENCE?
Also, it takes three minutes to poach an egg. How long does it take to cook books?

Your evasions are amazing, but you cannot answer the question:
WHERE IS THE FENCE?

The Minuteman Civil Defense Corps Form 990, Informational Return for Not for Profit Organizations, for calendar year 2005 has been completed and submitted to the IRS.After an extension.
Given the egregiously false or erroneous reportingas well as some outright malicious lies about the status of MCDC finances that this organization has enduredthe Board has decided that this year and this year only MCDC will emulate publicly-traded company standards and release MCDCs first year audited financial statements, in addition to the normal 990 documentation.
The shiny object... released "this year and this year only" after an extension to shut down critics.
We note that we are releasing our organizational IRS Form 990 and the additional audited financial statements on deadline, as promised, when promised.
I would hope so, after one extension.
Our total income was $418,493.00.
And they needed an extension?

Obviously nothing will satisfy you, not even an independent audit that found zero irregularities and ratios of fundraising/administration/program expenditures that many nonprofits would love to match. Oh well.

Folks get extensions all the time. Not surprising for a startup organization.

You are a liar. Nothing will satisfy me?
Answering the question would do the job perfectly:
WHERE IS THE FENCE?

I realize that, but how long does it take to sit down in front of a computer, fire up Quicken and spit out a financial report that that IRS drools over?

Again, I don't know. I'm not a donor to the fence project, so I haven't followed it that closely. But from what I heard, all of those funds were seperate and set aside for building fence. Do you have information that would say otherwise, or just more malicious speculation of the sort that has been blown out of the water by this independent audit and filing?

Craftsmanship is an achingly-slow process.True. It takes time for a little bit of sandpaper to smooth out rough edges on the finished product.
