Most, if not all, of his quotes have a certain sense of humor, some more than others, but their meanings hold truths and seriousness. Wilde's quote, "Seriousness is the only refuge of the shallow.", reminds me of a poster on this forum, who was later banned. LOL
One of my favorite Wilde quotes is, "We live in an age when unnecessary things are our only necessities." One of my favorite sayings (I don't know who originally said this, but I'll try to find out because they certainly deserve applause for it) is, "Use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without."
