I always wondered about that. How did it happen? I've got a braincell telling me he had a car accident when he was in med school, but you can't always trust my braincells.

"I think he is out of touch with America "
I think the tide is turning, I really do. My leftist friend who was misinformed about islam in college had a proposal of how to deal with islam. He said we should pick a city, he suggested an Iraqi city, (I corrected him and said Tehran would be the ideal), and nuke it.
This from a leftist. I think even some of the lefties are starting to get it. They're starting to understand this is not just some unhappy radicals. This is islam coming for us.

When Lieberman wins, the Dems lose. They are going to try to knock off their third most recognizable and influential senator and replace him with a snot nosed freshmen. They don't understand that if Lamont wins, it's status quo.

Fortunately, most Americans aren't hard leftistsTrue, but many many of them are completely "stoopid". They don't see the hard leftism, but unfortunately they buy in to much of what the left has to say.

Good article. I just hope and pray the democrats won't be successful this election season. We can't chance it.

He was paralyzed in a carwreck while in med school. He tells a cool story
here about how one of his profs helped him stay with the md program after the accident.

I agree. My brother is in the "buy in" group. But, I do think that people who are center and slightly left of center are starting to wake up to the threat. At least I hope so.

You may also be unaware that he has been wheelchair bound for years. His brain, however, over compensates.I didn't know that, either.

giving the Dems one or two more good years may be giving them too much credit.I hope you're right. This is not the time for the liberal weenie "can't-we-all-just-get-along?" type of foreign policy.

I had no idea that Krauthammer was a psychiatrist - hell, I didn't even know he was a doctor. Maybe that's why he undersstands the Dems so well - he's dealt with crazy people before.I didn't either....although I always try to include a bio with articles that I post here at FR, I found this one to be particularly insightful.
He is truly someone who can serve as an inspiration to all.

Charles Krauthammer is a voice of reason but giving the Dems one or two more good years may be giving them too much credit.True... they seem terribly eager to slit their own throats. They have become so completely out of touch with America, I can't see them expanding their constituency anytime soon.

Thank you for that link. I love the guy and his amazing mind. He is always right on and uses humor, yet I have long wondered about his odd posture on Fox. Now, thanks to you, I admire him even more.

Today we are fighting an enemy that has declared war on us and has killed thousands already. To compare the WOT to Vietnam is irresponsible at the very least.Agreed....I believe that it'd done mainly by people who either don't know history or those who are assuming that nobody else does....either way, it's a perspective founded on ignorance.

Thanks for the link! What a kindred spirit Mr. Hermann was! Charles was very fortunate to have such a wonderful caring professor. Very rare now a days.

Always enjoy listening and reading Charles thoughts. I was not aware is was such an active DEMOCRAT - always thought he was Republican. He is in that group as President Reagan said, I did not leave the Democratic party, they left me.I didn't know that previously either, and it seems to me that the group you refer to is a whole lot larger than any group of former Republicans who have lost their minds and moved over to the Dems.
The embrace of the hard Left by the Dems is a move of desperation, brought about by the corrosive effects of a lack of ideas and wisdom coupled with rife corruption and a seething, visceral hatred for America and America's values that has metastasized throughout much of their Party.
