British police arrested another person on Tuesday in connection with last week's alleged plot by suspected Islamist militants to blow up transatlantic airliners.
"The person who was arrested under the Terrorism Act 2000 on suspicion of involvement in the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism is in custody at a police station in the Thames Valley area" in Britain's southeast, a police spokeswoman said.
The arrest takes the number of people being held to 24.
This was just on the news on 'Planet Rock' (don't ask). This inquiry will roll for a long time and the political parties are going to be embarrassed that they refused the police and Blair's request for a 3 month holding period (with judicial oversight) for such suspected Terrorists.
Tie them to posts, whip them till their backs are the consistency of raw hamburger, apply salt water washdown.
How lucky.
Brits don't have a ACLU and can hold and interrogate for 28 days.
We need ACLU lawyers to assure them their rights.
In a worst case scenario terrorist fall under the Geneva convention and right to a lawyer.
Not the solution.
The civilized nations need to notify the uncivilized nations that this will not be tolerated. Send the uncivilized immigrants back to their hovels of origin, and make their governments understand one simple fact. If there is another act of terrorism in the world, then the civilized nations will bomb the major cities of the uncivilized nations back into the stone age. It will be their responsibility to control their citizens. If they fail, then everyone suffers. That way you make sure you punish the guilty party.
Sorry, I have little or no sympathy for them; if that rubs you wrong, I'm really not concerned.
