Yes, it's very disappointing. But sadly, not unexpected.

Definitely not unexpected - after seeing the MSM's response to his comments last time, I wondered when he would back down.

I don't know why some commentators seem upset/disturbed that this could be a war that lasts for years and years - a lot of us here on FR have said this war has no end - when you are fighting an ideology and not a country - unless you are willing to be really do what is necessary - you will be fighting this ideology for decades and centuries to come, and your children will have to deal with it, etc.

The only good thing, whether people like us being in Iraq or not, Iraq is allowing us to draw out and kill a lot of people that would otherwise be getting student visas or crossing our southern border....
