I'm a native New Yorker. I remember when those towers were being built. When I worked on Wall Street I often used the stations under them..........and hefted many a beer in there.
I have been unable to bring myself to go back to the City.

I second that opinion.
One of the reason that so many of the MSDW employees were saved were Rescola insistance on evacuation drills. He used to drop his pants to get everyone's attention. He forced all the employees to participate and would engage in sophomoric gags to keep their attention. It makes me think of how many times you go through the airplane drill and ignore it, and yet something seems to sink in and if you ever needed to, you would know what to do. Just like everything else, training is the key.

Did you catch the Pilot suing Jet Blue because they fired him, supposedly for being Muslim? It was on Fox the other night. I am glad he's gone. He became a citizen, is foreign born, and his attitude, well, I am praying this will continue, and include all who have access to airline info. Don't forget the mom of one of the boys arrested in W. Virginia. They were found with flight manifests. No mention of her being arrested or detained. Scarey.
If anything, and no disrespect to those who survived, I was angry with this movie, as it downplayed the actual events, and dummied down the who's and the why's. What was Stone thinking, such a long soap opera type film IGNORING the other heroes and those who didn't make it. That would have made a hell of a film. This was disgraceful, though I thank God these men lived to return to their young families.
Wait for the dvd release. I think Stone ignored the real events by only showing the two men who thankfully survived.
Long movie of no substance. Please don't get the idea I am in anyway disrespecting the survivors, but I am angry with Stone. Would rather hear and see a movie made by Robert De Niro who was there and stayed to feed the masses.
