That's a good point, SE Mom.

Maybe it's because we know who was behind 9/11 so there's no mystery the way there was with JonBenet Ramsey.

I heard one of the phone calls on the way home from church tonight on the radio and turned it off; it's still too painful listening to people crying out for help and we know that nothing was going to save those poor souls.

It may be what you said Peach..the mystery vs knowing.

It just bothers me for some reason I can't put my finger on.

I think your question (SE Mom) about the response to the JonBenet story is a good one. Maybe, it's still much too painful to deal with 09/11. The JonBenet case is a little more 'localized' if you will. Although, as I parent I think it's terrible and tragic. It doesn't get to my gut like the 09/11 massacre does. And that 09/11 massacre still haunts because there are some in this country that simply refuse, flat-out deny, that we should stomp the terrorists into the ground. I think no matter what horrible fate we could plan for the perpetrators of 09/11, it could not possible equal the hell those innocent civilians went through that day. Just my humble opinion. May their souls rest in peace.
