Must be a lot of illegitimate children of Neville Chamberlain running around the UK.
We pulled them out of two wars. Now they repay us like this.
Fine we can go it alone. They can't. When they start having people beheaded in their bed, and more terror strikes, then perhaps they will wake up.

"...by a margin of more than five to one - the public wants Tony Blair to split from President George W Bush and either go it alone in the "war on terror", or work more closely with Europe."
Now that they have successfully smeared GW's name in the mud for speaking the truth about the severity of the global terrorist threat they want to abandon him?
Can you say shoot the messenger?

Tony Blair is still somewhat young. He needs to stay for a yet another term.

Lets calm down a little bit and actually look at whats being said:
1) Most Brits want a more aggressive foreign policy
2) Most Brits want more powers for the Police in combating terrorism
No problems there I would imagine. Now the controversial one
3) Most Brits want Blair to be more independent of Bush.
Whether its seen this way in The US or not, there is a perception in the UK that Blair is unwilling (or unable) to adopt any position differing from that held by The White House.
This is not the attitude of appeasers and has nothing to do with any particular policy
This is an attitude very much in keeping with the sentiments of American Freepers -"No one tells US what to do"
Final point - Can you imagine Ronald Reagan referring to Margaret Thatcher as "Yo Thatcher" That comment was deeply damaging

Interesting that this "poll" comes a couple of days after the demand by the muslims that Britain change its foreign policy.
Now, we have the news tailored to promote the muslims' demands even in the face of the anger the Brit's evidenced when the demand was made.
Hmmmm.....you think someone at the news is creating their own piece of propaganda, properly timed to back up the demands to change foreign policy?
I'd really like to see how real that poll is and where the poll was taken.
Seems awfully suspicious...
