what is *NOT* debatable is that the a bosnia-style airwar, along with on-again off-again ground intervention, was worse than effective given the results we now have to live with.

It wasn't just kidnapping. Soldiers were murdered in that attack. Remember the young boy who was kidnapped, murdered, and bombed.
