I don't know about the Apple link but generally speaking, Ubuntu is considered one of the most user friendly versions of Linux.

I don't know about the Apple link but generally speaking, Ubuntu is considered one of the most user friendly versions of Linux.Ubuntu gives me a headache....there are a lot of distro's more friendly....Ubuntu can't seem to handle hardware that SUSE, PCLinux, Knoppix and Memphis handle fine...and SLAX...and Fedora...

Right now the easiest-to-use Linux distros IMHO are Ubuntu/Kubuntu, SimplyMepis, Xandros, and Linspire/Freespire.
