"The conflict between the United States and Iran must be resolved through diplomatic channels and direct dialogue, because any strike on Iran means the end of stability in the region and the world," Mubarak said in an interview published on Saturday in Egypt's Akhbar al-Youm newspaper.

Seems Egypt is afraid of Iran

Either that, or they're working together with them.

This is merely a pro-forma protest. Because Egypt has little or no influence over the actions of Israel, Egypt would surely suffer the consequences that Iran would visit upon them if they showed less than enthusiastic religious fervor in denouncing Israel.

"Those who are not for our cause, are against us."

As others have pointed out, even the most serious international confrontations won't have much effect on the stability of the Middle East.

It is like the truck loaded with chicken crates going over Wolf Creek Pass, headed down towards downtown Pegosa Springs, when the brakes failed, and the chrome-plated, ventilated gear-shift knob came off in Earl's hand.

Mubarak isn`t afraid of Iran, its the crazies that listen to Iran that scare him. Wonder what would be happening today in the War on Terrorists if America woke up and supported GWB and our troops?

I wonder if Americans realize that for more than twenty years we have been paying Egypt $2 billion a year to demilitarize the Sinai? I say to Hell with Egyt and a government that allows Hamas to use El Arish town as a base to rearm Gaza and denies its Coptic Christians basic human rights. The bastids don't deserve a penny from the American taxpayers. The Muslim Armageddon is fast approaching, and I say bring it on!

exactly...

Considering the fear most Arab nations have of Iran and their own populations- I think they know that any conflict with Iran would bring many "underground" terror cells all over the world to the surface. It would force ALL Muslims and Non-Muslims to once and for all- pick a side.

This would actually cause, I believe, a GLOBAL civil war. They know it. These dictators- living in their castles and enslaving the masses would have their posh little lives interrupted......their oil wealth jeopardized, etc....they would either have to side with Iran- and if Iran wins- then who will protect them from Iran? Or they would have to side with us and Israel- and then their own people would revolt against them....

nice little web their hate-filled propaganda has weaved for them.....
