This is the best way to handle this, a grass roots effort.
If the profiling by authorities had sorted these two out we can all imagine the outcry from CAIR etc.
This way it's the general public fueling the ouster, something that CAIR will bitch and moan about. That will lead to more profiling by the general public, and even more forced removals.
This is VERY heartning.

Monarch is a British discount airline. Flown it out of Luton (pronounced Looton) north of London on occasion to places like Gibraltar. Good equipment ... their market is Brit vacationers desperately seeking sunnier climes.

didn't the passengers get the memo - no profiling.
From the common man, common sense.

Good for the passengers!! IF the government won't profile, then it looks like the passengers will.

However much Governments might delude themselves, the people are deciding for themselves.
No more muslims on flights, ships, trains.
Then the Muslims will realise how out on a limb, and unpopular they are.
Interesting that when faced with a perceived threat, it is the women and children who speak out most strongly. The primeval force of self preservation of future generations at work.

Had they been honest honorable men seeking to work with their fellow man, they would have exuded a conscientious attitude in their behavior. IMHO, Their impatience telegraphs a far more adversarial spirit than in a case of mistaken identity.

The trouble in Malaga flared last Wednesday as two British citizens in their 20s waited in the departure lounge to board the pre-dawn flight and were heard talking what passengers took to be Arabic There's three times that it's said they were speaking what was thought to be Arabic, but they never say what language it was.
More information needed: What were they speaking?

Seems like you have two options. Watch those you suspect like a hawk and be ready to roll against them, or simply refuse to fly with them.

It won't be long before the airlines will refuse to give you another ticket or refund your money for refusing to fly with passengers you suspect. They have ways of dealing with us lemming's.

Hear! hear! to the other comments that the passengers' actions were completely rational. As usual the governments have it completely backwards. Political Correctness is a disease of the intelligentsia, and finds willing hosts in government employees. If the passengers had any faith that profiling was being used and those two mutts were examined as closely as their grandma would be, perhaps the passengers would have remained clam. But the passengers knew better.

This was not a mutiny. It was an anti-mutiny action, a belated boycott. Flight 93 was an anti-mutiny action that happened too late to save the flight.
Mutinies commandeered planes into the Twin Towers.
Merchants used to say: The customer is always right.
And some customers now have voted with their feet. Passenger satisfaction surveys? We don't need no stinkin' surveys. Especially if the customers are dead.
Bravo for alertness, what a concept.
Not an overreaction, in my opinion.

Not too long after 9/11 Saturday Night (or Mad TV but I think SNL) had a great sketch, a fake ad for an airline that advertised, "Because we profile!"
Hilarious! Shoot, I'd even pay a few bucks extra if there were such a thing.

Patrick Mercer, the Tory Homeland Security spokesman, said last night: "This is a victory for terrorists. These people on the flight have been terrorised into behaving irrationally. Sounds more to me like a victory for common sense, and for law-abiding Westerners who've had quite enough of your coddling the Muslims. The message is "If you won't profile them, we will." Better listen up or the mutinies will spread.

If the passengers acted "irrationally", that would mean they had acted AGAINST THEIR INTERESTS.
They didn't cuddle the men, no, but they acted in what they saw was their interests.
The passengers acted RATIONALLY.

Maybe this can become a standard, that people just don't get onplanes where Arabs fly...
Great, maybe the arabs will get motivated to control their own!
