Chertoff Supports Amnesty - 08-19-06 It has become clear that our DHS "leader" is a big amnesty supporter. He likes to make speeches with Border Patrol agent props behind him. No Border Patrol agent worth his or her salt would volunteer to stand behind this guy during a photo op to make it appear that we agree with his political views. We wish Chertoff would stay out of Arizona. Using agents as forced backdrops while you make speeches to sell us out with amnesty is shameful Mr. Chertoff, even for a political appointee who is backing a President steering our immigration policies and this country right into the third-world gutter. Perhaps it would be helpful if we were to point out that rank-and-file agents are paid to arrest those people you want to provide amnesty for. As such, maybe you can explain to us why you are in favor of legalizing the very people we risk our lives to stop Mr. Chertoff. Call it whatever you want sir ("guest-worker" etc.), but you need to return to planet Earth and figure out what real Americans are demanding of their government. They want the laws enforced, they pay your wages, and your pro-amnesty hoo-rah is getting old.

Watching a CourtTV program called "Inside: Border Wars" which illustrates how you guys not only have to contend with potentially homicidal apprehends, treacherous terrain and unbelievable weather extremes but must be ready to perform as paramedics or soldiers on split-second decisions.

That our government is stabbing dedicated agents in the back by shorting you resources and technology is one (bad) thing - but trying to cow you from performing your duties with this court case is nothing short of reprehensible. If I judge someone as well as I think I believe their cause will be taken up by the House Immigration Caucus quickly...with embarrassment and humiliation doled out for the corrupt responsible.
