Just for Reference. {Admin, if this is in the wrong spot, feel free to move it; but because of its relevance to today, I put it in culture under news/activism}

On the link above, there is a series fo 5 videos from You Tube. It is a Muslim explaining the supposed fulfillment of prophecy from the Hadith regarding the coming of the Mahdi (Islamic Messiah).
Ahmadinejad believes that he will usher in the coming of this Mahdi. File it under "know thy enemy."

I am watching this and these people are out of their minds...I love how everything about this religion seems to be stolen from all the older, more established religions.
They believe in Jesus but obviously don't believe in any of his teachings.

They believe he was a lesser prophet who did not die on the cross. From what I understand, they believe the Bible was corrupted but they don't know where so they won't speak ill of any particular part lest the be mistaken.
These videos are VERY similar to Christian eschatology - except the Koran seems to be much more vague and what they attach world events to could be just about anything. In that respect, they seem to be more like Nostradamus followers than Christians.
There are some things that Christians know will happen. There are some things we speculate as a possible fulfillment of ancient prophecy. But these guys are dogmatic about each and every aspect of what they are saying.

In the name of Mohahmmad--the pedophile, the pervert, the liar, the mold on a three-day old camel turd, the mucus matter around a dog's privates that attracts gnats in the summer--piss and blasphemy be upon his name, this is a fairy tale.

I agree. Check this out. My favorite is the very last comparison. http://www.contenderministries.org/prophecy/eschatology.php
not sure how to make it a clickable link.

These videos are VERY similar to Christian eschatologyExcept, imo, they mirror Christianity's. I haven't watched the videos yet, will in a minute, but to my knowledge, Muslim eschatology has much of the same elements as Christian eschatology, but it seems to me, their bad guys are our good guys and our bad guys are their good guys.
I think their mahdi is our AC, and their Isa (Jesus) is our false prophet. Their dajjal/AC is the real Jesus returning. Their mahdi makes a treaty with non-Muslims for 7 years, their "Jesus" comes back, denounces Christianity and defers to the mahdi. Their dajjal can raise people from the dead and has a large number of Jewish followers.

That very well may be. They are certainly setting themselves up for the Anti-Christ.

Actually, it looks like all of Harun Yahya's videos can be downloaded for free from his website. Click on "Movies" in the left column.

If you just make some small changes in this film it could be sold as a New Age version about Nostradamus or to some Christians that believe in this type of crap, i.e. the End of Times. However, the important thing is that a sufficient number of people believe in this, as they can be manipulated by someone like Ahmadinejad, or Savonarola and Hitler earlier.

I wouldn't put Savonorola in with Hitler and Ahmadinejad.
A true Christian understanding of the end times does NOT include our trying to usher them in. We recognize the the world is what it is and that until Jesus returns it isn't going to be getting any better. But, we dont' teach that we do anything to usher in the Second Coming (or its predecessor, Armageddon).

With your definition "A true Christian" I agree with you, but people like Savonarola would probably describe themselves as true Christians as well. Naturally, they are a minority.
The main problem is that the percentage of Muslims that believe in this is very high, probably a majority. On the other hand they still live in the 15th century, just like Savonarola.
