Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei lashed out at US President George W. Bush for his recent remarks, describing his words as arrogant utterances of a person who imagines to be the owner of Muslim countries.

"This Person (Bush) speaks as if he were the master and owner of Lebanon, Palestine, Iraq, Syria, Iran and other Muslim states, but if the huge power of nations comes to the scene -- as it happened in Lebanon, it will smash the arrogant powers so badly that the enemies of Islam will no longer be able to continue with their rude and arrogant behavior," Ayatollah Khamenei said, while addressing a public meeting here on Tuesday also attended by the heads of the three branches of the government, the Expediency Council Chairman, the state and military officials, and Ambassadors of Muslim states on the feast of Mab'ath (i.e. anniversary of Prophet Mohammad's (PBUH) divine assignment to prophethood).

I think their arrogance is a result of their knowledge that we will tear ourselves apart and not remain united to any cause.

"Ayatollah Khamenei said, while addressing a public meeting here on Tuesday also attended by the heads of the three branches of the government, the Expediency Council Chairman, the state and military officials, and Ambassadors of Muslim states"

Now that was a missed opportunity to get rid of a bunch.

Ayatollah Khamenei has no concept of the forces that can be brought to bear on his country. We have nobel men and women in big machines trained to do lots of damage to terrorist states.

Hmmm... I wonder if he realizes that the only thing preventing him from being arrogant like 'The Bush Person' is having more than 1 indoor toilet per 10,000 citizens...?

Hey, I'm willing to sell it at 41x the GDP because it is prime parking real estate. From Lebanon, a military can base operations to strike any number of regional threats.

An example of its convenient location is Hezbollah, which manages to be supplied from both Syria and Iran, and as an added bonus - Lebanon also has a sea coast and harbors, perfect for supply by sea and for refueling your navy.

Lebanon is an excellent staging area, and while it does have legacy structures and populations, neither are permanent fixtures as the region has frequently in its history wiped out various populations, and people have grown accustomed to genocidal successes and have actually come to expect it.
