When I register for a room, the hotel gets my name (and credit card) and asks how many people are going to be in the room. They do not ask if there are going to be any minor children staying there. I do not believe that minors are supposed to be able to register for a room themselves, but I can imagine some trying for various reasons...
As a wiser FReeper than me said that if young people are renting hotel rooms, they are making porn not watching it.

Just remember that you aren't the only one using that room, that bed, that table, that toilet, that sink, that shower/bath...
And then there are the sex hotels with hot tubs in the rooms....

Exactly, adults can choose to harm themselves all they want and as long as they don't harm others against thier will. If a chick wants to get rich selling her fanny, fine she'll probably end up spending the money on rehab and shrinks later on anyway.

I wonder what the population of the country would be if all children had to be conceived in full view of the public. I wonder if you're being intentionally obtuse or really can't distinguish between watching porn or making love to your spouse.
Shalom.

Pssst! Pssst! They're using birth control....keep it quiet, OK? What? They do? Uh, in that case, it's an abomination, and should be banned immediately. Fines should be levvied against anyone who watches it. Those who make, produce, or distribute it should be put to ths sword. The sword, you hear me?!
(Thanks for the heads up on that. Boy, am I embarassed! I had no idea.)

People worried about this stuff should really take some time off. You got that right. Conservative groups should spend their time on really important issues rather than acting like whacked out morality police. Acting nutty just reinforces the perception that all conservatives are extremists.

Is anyone with me on this thing? You BET I'm with you. 100%.
That is, unless you want to take out a full page ad in USA Today. Those suckers are expensive.
Shalom.

It was boringly predictable that you would try to make the connection something that it wasn't because your point was destroyed.

Yeah, they do. Usually it's that oral contraceptive stuff. I've heard, though, that some porn films use the less-effective coitus interruptus technique.

(Ugly people with some degree of shame, that is. It's not gonna stop all of us.)

Well, that does it! I'm never going to stay in a hotel again. The very idea!

Where in the bible does it say I can't fire off a few Knuckle Children in the privacy of my neighbor's home because I can't afford a DVD player??!!

If you don't want it, don't order it. We had hard-core porn available in our hotel room without ordering it, and boy was I surprised while flipping the channels. So I went down to the front desk and asked to have it removed. The clerk told me it came with the broadband subscription and they had to take special action to remove it... and they did.
I requested broadband the next time we stayed at the same hotel and specifically requested the hard-core porn channel to be removed. I was satisfied when the clerk said she would take care of it... but she didn't. While flipping channels our two young boys were introduced, albeit quite briefly, to close-up hard-core porn in our hotel room. Talk about getting miffed...The clerk saw me coming and took care of it before I hit the front of the line.
So hard-core porn is available for free (when you order broadband) in at least one hotel chain.

I submit the following list of movies that should be banned in hotel rooms:
Anything with Meg Ryan, including but not limited to, When Harry Met Sally, You've Got Mail, and Kate & Leopold (especially KATE & LEOPOLD!).
The Wedding Crashers
Beast Master
Anything with the word "vacation" in the title, including all Chevy Chase movies.

Does that make it any less destructive to those who watch it and to our society? The liberals say it isn't destructive and endorse your very positon.
Ironically, that's exactly how the Liberals sell their nannyisms.

Those places, "Sybaris" here, better come with three taps:
1. Hot
2. Cold
3. Bleach

I don't believe it is really that simple and if you took the time to investigate the groups that are protesting "porn" you would see that it is not just a matter of self control etc. It's easy to believe that these groups just want to govern what you watch but the issue is much more complex than this. I don't believe we need the government to regulate us but porn is perversion and has/does do tremendous damage to families and in particular men.
