"If you don't want it, don't order it."

My thoughts exactly!

Bingo.
It's not like you can order it by accident.

You need to hit "ENTER", "*" , right arrow TWO TIMES, "SELECT", down arrow, and "ENTER".

Or so I've heard.

I agree that seeking to have the government intervene is misguided.

Stage a boycott if they find it to be important.

The American Library Association and public libraries need to be challenged (as they are accountable to the taxpaying public).

The ALA (and therefore virtually all libraries) holds the position that there is no such concept as "age appropriate material". The ALA won't restrict what materials go into the library and won't restrict access to any materials.

So if a library has an archive of Playboy (for the interviews, including those with President Jimmy Carter, or cultural and sociological studies), the ALA holds that minors should be given access even though it would be criminal for a newsstand to offer that same access.

While I agree with you where adults are concerned, unfortunately young people can rent a room and watch it, and that is the biggest problem that I can see.

Both Kathy Shepard of Hilton and Roger Conner of Marriott said the bulk of their hotels are operated by franchise-holders who make their own decisions about in-room programming. They made clear, however, that their companies consider adult movies to be an acceptable option

So Marriott has gone smoke free, including it's subsidiaries, finds porn more acceptable than smoking. Also, these "franchise-holders" are free to make their own decisions about porn, but not about whether to provide smoking rooms. Hmmmm.....

" The leader of the campaign against in-room porn is Phil Burress, a self-described former porn addict who heads the Cincinnati-based Citizens for Community Values. "

Just as I thought, its like smoking and alcohol.

One guy can't handle it so he becomes as addicted to eliminating it as he was to it.

Instead of just learning to live and make responsible choices in a world of temptation like the rest of us do.

I don't get it. Don't you have to specifically ask and pay for the porn? I got to file this under my "Stupid Conservative Tricks".

I really would like them to have to POST their porno services, as I would LOVE to avoid those places and the people who frequent them. They put warning labels on cigarettes? Pornography has destroyed a lot of beautiful couples, and hurt juveniles, marring their futures. I haven't met a Registered Sex offender yet that didn't have big time trouble being addicted to pornography.

Providing porn to hotel rooms is a matter of NATIONAL SECURITY! That's right... I'm not making this up. We need Federal legislation requiring that porn be available in every hotel room in America. "Why?" you ask? "Why?"?!? Isn't it obvious?!? You monitor the rooms of Muslim men between the ages of 17 and 45 for their viewing habits, room service orders, and water usage. Those who watch a bunch of porn, order booze by the gallon, and waste an acre-foot of water grooming are your next suicide bombers, of course!! (And after they check out, a towel count is necessary to complete the picture. If a washcloth is missing, then that's your man. They have a habit of wrapping up their Habib Thomas before rushing off to explode.)

My wife and I flip through the menu and find the most outrageous title we can. Then we improvise what we imagine to be a scene from said title. Lots of laughs and lots of fun, and no $9.95 charge.

I keep meaning to put some wakka-wakka music on the laptop to enhance the experience.

Geez, let people watch what they want to watch and stop asking for the state to be everyone's nanny.

That is what we are fighting in the war on terrorism.

While I agree with you that trying to force people to be moral (or at least honest) is a bad idea, what we are fighting in the war on terrorism is the tendency to kill or maim innocent women and children in large numbers.

They are NOT the same thing. The effort to equate terrorism with sincere religious belief, even misguided religious belief, is wrong.

Shalom.

Yes, because it's not enough that they don't watch porn. They must make sure that nobody else watches it either. Stupid waste of time from a bunch of busybody pecksniffs.
