There is one commercial I have always liked...its not new, I think its been around for a few years, but they run it only when it gets near to the time when the kids are getting ready to go back to school...I dont even remember who the commercial is for...but music starts to play, and its "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year", which is of course Christmas music, but in this commercial that song is played at the return to school time, because it shows that either the mom or the dad are delirous with joy at the prospect of their children returning to school...the children however, are glum looking and quite sad, and look shell shocked, that summer is over, and its time to return to school...
Interesting........I HATE that commercial; I find it supremely sad. It's basic message is "I cannot stand having my own children around and can't WAIT to shuffle them off to the public school system to get them out of MY hair." Think about that for a minute, just exactly what that means......
It's Staples or Office Depot. The reason I can't remember which is why it's not a good ad from a marketing and branding point of view.
I believe that ad is for Staples. I look forward to it every year too!
Add me to the list of folks who hate that blasted "Head On" commercial!
The Back to School commercial is for Staples, and it is a good one.
They should take all E.D. commercials off the air. No one would want to go to bed with any of the guys in the ads.
