DAY OF HONOR BENEFIT CONCERT
Big & Rich and legendary Southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd will team up with two Atlanta radio stations for a fund-raising concert, A Day of Honor, Oct. 7 in Atlanta.
Profits from the show will go to a fund to build a memorial to all who have served in the 173rd Airborne Brigade. The memorial is to be built at the new National Infantry Museum in Ft. Benning, Ga. The concert will be held at the HiFi Buys Amphitheatre in conjunction with Atlantas country radio stations KICKS 101.5 and EAGLE 106.7. Also appearing on the show are John Anderson, The Lost Trailers, Cowboy Troy and many more. When we heard that they expected it to take three to five years of a capital fund-raising campaign to build a memorial, we decided we had to find a way to raise the money, said Big & Richs Big Kenny. The goal is to raise $500,000 in one day. Tickets will be available through ticketmaster.com, beginning Aug. 25.
