Culture of Life truth-squad ping: Fighting for Dear Life: The Untold Story of Terri Schiavo and What It Means for All of Us
LOL!! Have you been following the Crist-Gallagher primary?
This is on target; unfortunately most Americans cannot understand this concept because they think the government is there to "help" them.
He has already been in CT for Lamont, and he is taking "credit" now for Lieberman's temporary setback.
Send him back! I wanna see Michael and Ned Lament together on stage! Maybe MoveOn can arrange a Brezhnev-style hug and kiss...
what bothers me is how she died..not even timothy mcveigh was put to death by sealing him in a room for 15 days so he could starve to death..(even though he really deserved that kind of death)..yet poor Terri had to die that way..something is not right there..
Nice catch; you're right. Only his behavior was that of an "ex-husband," as he had moved on with a new family, while his 'beloved' wife was still alive.
If he had been truely heartfelt and morally tortured over pulling the plug on Terrie, it should be abhorrent to him to politically associate himself with the same painful decision in others' lives. Now it's easier for him to justify it by aligning himself with a political agenda that diminishes the value of a solitary human life. Atheist liberals are eager to put politics and liberal judges above God and Nature. (and pardon the mini-rant.)
No, haven't paid any attention to that one. I'm waiting and watching for Vernon Robinson to start mouthing off real good against Brad Miller.
He is yet another psycho nut-job; he fits in perfectly with the Democrats: self-absorbed, arrogant and deceitful. His wife better hopes she doesn't become gravely ill or injured...
His behavior was as an ex-husband your right. I would personally have handled it differently from the beginning. First of course not hitting her (if he truly did that). Second I would not have gotten involved with anyone and certainly not have children with someone else. However, once I felt like I could not handle the situation anymore and wanted out, I would have given her the divorce (although not a fan of it). Most importantly I would have given her to her parents (especially once they begged me not that it would have gotten to that point). His situation and behavior is so far from how I would of handled it.
It was also far outside any honest interests. Allowing Terri's parents to try to feed Terri orally would have disipated much of the resistance Michael faced. Further, it would offer the possibility that Terri might asphyxiate and die from the effort, resulting in Michael being rid of her sooner. So why such resistance?
Unless he was trying to kill her not because she was PVS, but because she wasn't.
