I think Chesapeake Bay may have a longer coastline and more useful inlets and rivers than Lake Erie and Ontario combined - and far better weather in the winter. The area is also accessible to more convenient air and water ports and major population centers.

I agree that the terrorists are looking at all points of access to attack Americans.

To bring in stuff thru the Chesapeake Bay might involve an ocean operation with a mother ship offshore. The drug dealers do it, so terrorist could do it too.

Bombing our embassies or ships in Africa was relatively easy, they had local friendly populations. It is possible here, just somewhat harder.

Which is why we should be awake when some students/youths/muslims are driving from Detroit to Texas buying thousands of cheap, untraceable cell phones.
