I know Steyn has been a guest on radio before but I don't know if he's ever hosted. He's certainly bright and witty. I enjoy most of his political columns. It's a little different, though, when you are hosting a show as opposed to being a guest.
Best EIB guest host to date: much depends on taste here but I'd go with Tony Snow.
Worst EIB guest host to date: Chris Matthews (yes, it really happened - what was Rush thinking?).

I agree with you that Tony Snow was the best fill-in. He's the only one I'd even bother to listen to. The rest are unlistenable, including Walter Wiliams.
