Are you saying folks should actually DO something, sir?

Is that what you are saying?

Yes, Detective! Fascinating how you were able to piece the clues together. :-)

And what's equally fascinating is the overwhelming response to my thread!!

And if these Marines are in fact innocent, they'll have no place to go to get their reputations back.

When they are found innocent they need to sue Murtha for defamation of character by a public official on private citizens.

A suit which may well be thrown out because of Murtha's [much abused] role as a public official.

Maybe -- but it seems to me he (and his words) should be held to an even higher accountability for using his position and power to lie about regular citizens and ruin their reputations and question their character. I know if it was reversed, a private citizen can can get by with saying more about a public official than about another private citizen.

Oh, I'm in complete agreement with you. I just really think these guys have few options available for real recourse. Their true vindication, IMHO, is Murtha's defeat and humiliation this November.

I'm in complete agreement with you.

LOL -- I figured you were. There are times I wish I was a lawyer so I could do stuff like that for fun!

Their true vindication, IMHO, is Murtha's defeat and humiliation this November.

From your fingers to God's ears.
