Humm

I guess Alaska has no "major cities" - otherwise, and unfortunately, we would have won hands down.

With the exception of Austin, the top ten consists of northern cities. As Eric Burdon (born and raised in Newcastle-Upon-Type in NE England) once said, "In Newcastle for six months of the year, the wind is howling, the rain is blowing sideways, and there's nothing to do but get drunk and be nice to your neighbor." (Said with a wink.)

That's my hometown! Brew-town pride!

Mine too.

I'm glad to see that the friends I left behind have been keeping standards up since I moved East.

Why? The liberal politics aside--I love Milwaukee.

Besides, being with friends after a Friday night fish fry, getting tipsy and bowling is fun...don't knock it until you try it.

Where is your glass house located.

For a mid-west city there's no place I'd rather live--just ask the FIBers that think Wisconsin is their own personal play ground.

Don't rip on my city because I will defend it.

Lighten up Francis. It was a joke.

I love Wisconsin ,,,,except for the taxes.

I'm from Chicago, Milwaukee is heaven compared to this liberal hell hole.

Milwaukeeans have plenty of other ways to entertain themselves without drinking alcohol, said Dave Fantle, a spokesman for the group. He noted a new convention center and baseball park had been built

Hey, let's all go to the convention center and the ballpark and not drink!

At 200K in population, it is a mid-sized city and sometimes either feels too big and other times too small. (traffic and medical care)

Still a good place to live, if the gang situation doesn't get resolved soon, we will be looking to move.

There was a shoot out, in broad daylight, in the middle of town on election day - two bystander wounded. Gang-bangers. They did catch the toads, but it is out of hand,.

I remember years ago Playboy listed the top 10 party campuses in the U.S. ASU came in in the top 10, but they had an asterisk next to *1---whoever it was---and said U of Wisconsin: "no other campus comes close."

Alcohol is not *a* problem in Alaska, it is *the* problem in Alaska.

Much worse in the villages. I have quit taking work that involves bush visits, just not worth it anymore.
