Does the GOP run the Executive branch, or not? Does Justice not report to the President? Who does that politically inspired "Homeland Security" agent report to? Is there no accountability?

Yes there is, and I'm going to be the agent of that accountability. I don't think I'm alone. I'll be sitting home on election day, this one, and maybe 2008. The GOP has had it's opportunities, and it's playing politics with National Security, as well as domestic policy.

Bush was bold in 2001 when we needed a bold President. It didn't last very long. After the 2004 election, it was over. Now Bush is nothing more than a far less efficient Nixon. And the GOP Congress??? Absolutely worthless.

You folks have to remember that for at least four of the last six years, the GOP had the number in the House and the Senate to make their imprint on America. We could have had true conservative judges, if Bush would have appointed them, and the GOP had enforced party loyalty. There's a lot that could have been done, e.g. alot committee chairmanships differently, to get by the Democrats stonewalling.

Instead, the GOP has been "standing pat", doing nothing more than they have to, playing ball with corporate special interests, and telling the GOP rank and file (in particular, Christian Conservatives), to shut up and move to the back of the bus.

Yes, the loyal GOPers on this forum will assail my short sightedness, insist that there's nothing worse than a Democrat in the White House, and Democrats running the House and the Senate.

Well, ya know what? I lived through the bad ol' days of Democrat control, and there was very little difference between then and now. I have no more influence on my government than I did when the Democrats ran everything. The country's governmental policies continue to lurch leftward. You'll be rewarded by playing ball with the Democrat left. If you stand up for "right and wrong", for your principles, like these Border Patrol agents did when they tried to enforce the law, you'll get shafted. THAT'S what the GOP means to America today.

Not me. After 32 years, I'm done. I'm out. Bye bye.. GOP. Ya don't need my vote, and I don't need anymore GOP pols in my life.
