However I was more than a little disappointed that neither has said a word , now that they are free to do so, about the appalling arrogance of their kidnappers and their forced acceptance of islam . They have a perfect forum to really slam these beasts , and yet they turn the other cheek.

Maybe they don't want to get kidnapped again. They're journalists -- and the news is in the Middle East. If they want to go back, then they did the smart thing.

I agree with you, but I think saying anything against them would put all westerners (journalists and others) in danger of being shot on site or kidnapped. If people don't already know that palestinians are scum, no future amount of kidnappings and murders will convince them, so I think it's more of a safety measure to not slam them publicly after being released.
