The only state that experienced a decrease in the percentage of obese adults last year was Nevada.

Ah yes. "The government should... the government should... the government should..." Thomas Jefferson must be spinning in his grave.

Here is the CDC's Body Mass Index calculator:

Of course, any trend information is meaningless if you change the yardstick every couple of years...

Wow...they take an admittedly flawed measuring stick, apply it indiscriminately, and find a crisis.

Undoubtedly it's time we made changes, eh? /sarc

You're not going to find too many Nevada residents going to Las Vegas buffets for dinner.

The reason why obesity is down in NV is because so many 20-somethings have been moving into the LV area - it's just a thinner age demographic.

I still fit into the uniform tailored for me in Basic Training from 20+ years ago.

"Obesity now exceeds 25 percent in 13 states, which should sound some serious alarm bells"

...which apparently will be mistaken for dinner bells.

First it states what the employers should do, and then it states what the governments should do, and then it states what the individual should do. The only one who doesn't have to fork out the dough is the one who has the most responsibility.
