Carter pines for that those days of malaise, double digit inflation, double digit interest rates, double digit unemployment, fuel lines, 55 mph speed limits, 59 degree thermostat settings, sweaters, "Billy Beer", and ABBA.

They know they already own the sucker,

He's become a worse ex President than he was a President..
The world must see us as fools to allow this lunatic to continue pretending he's an American "wheeler dealer"..

Well at least this time we don't have to depend on this clown to actually get anything accomplished.

Your reply is too eloquent for a failure of a man who should've been tarred and feathered.

Perhaps Khatami will take Jimmy hostage for allowing the Shah of Georgia medical care.

They punk'd him in the 70's and they continue to punk him to this day... Jimmy just go sit in a corner with your crayons and coloring book please. Leave politics to the non-politically challenged..

You people complaining about this are nuts! (pun intended)

Let's see, Iran's prez comes to the USA and the most revered democrat ex-president hosts him, will be seen smiling that big ol' smile of his with him, and we will all have such happy memories of when the dems were in charge of things...right as we get into election season.

Karl Rove has slipped a microchip into Jimmuh's oat bran and even now is cackling as he works the controls!

He'll be in violation of his own concession to Iran in 1981:

Well, sort of.....

Point I: Non-Intervention in Iranian Affairs
1. The United States pledges that it is and from now on will be the policy of the United
States not to intervene, directly or indirectly, politically or militarily, in Iran's internal affairs.

Stupid sand monkeys apparently don't realize that Carter isn't president anymore.

Oh this is great. I guess he is going to handle just like he did the previous time or the way he handled North Korea. This is a joke! Carter is the modern day Chamberlin.

Somebody needs to do a Photoshop pic of Carter wearing a turban.

Mindboggling. Carter would probably host Bin Laden if he had the chance.

"
It was once upon a time that U.S. presidents displayed the daily prestige and cognizance of the office of president"

When he and J walked during the inaguration parade - i had the feeling that we were in trouble - he gave all his power away from day one.

and - yes - I voted for him .... bought into the BS .. never again.

If I have some time I'll work on that later on today. I'll add a camel or jack-ass under his bottom side.

There should be a rule against ex-presidents meddling into international diplomacy after they leave the office...

There is. It's called the Logan Act. It was passed in the 1790's. Wish someone would enforce it once in a while.

I know, sorry if I mistyped. Same difference--Carter and Iran's prez while we're going through all this with Iran.

Excellent - I'll look forward to that.

A nice companion piece to the old Jeff MacNelly political cartoon of Khomeni wearing an American flag turban.
