Sorry, this kind of "humor" from Ann is starting to get tired. She's becoming quite transparent in her attempts to be outrageous. She could have easily made her very strong point without coming out of left field with the name association and it's historical context.
Why didn't she go all the way and recommend a present day actor to play the role of John Wilkes Booth?

I think Bush is smart enough to know that the conservative has zero chance of winning in RI and a RINO will at least keep the majority. Just like in PA with Specter. It leaves a bad taste in our mouths but the Dems have the same problems. We need a real conservative like Reagan. I still contribute to the GOP but I also pray we get a conservative in the white house soon. Pulling the GOP handle will ALWAYS get the less liberal candidate.

Bush supports the incumbent. He always has, as do most Presidents of both parties.

Ann is right about LC being an idiot. His eyes show little spark of intelligence, but a lot of feeling. Hence, he should go over to the Democrat side of the aisle.
Her apparent enthusiasm for SL is overdone. He is a RINO in the making. If I lived in RI, I would vote for SL, but hold my nose.
It could be worse. I live in Illinois where one constantly has to hold their nose when voting for supposed Republicans.

Besides, Booth wants a Southern revival. Shooting Chafee isn't going to do that. He didn't shoot the wrong Lincoln.
