A bill allowing illegal immigrants to obtain state driver's licenses has passed the Legislature, but Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has said he will veto it.

Arnold has a lot of weaknesses, but one thing he is not is stupid. He knows this is THE issue to American citizens.

Arnold does the right thing about really major important things and has to give in to the CA Legislature on smaller things in return.
Angelides would rubber stamp all the leftist Dem bills the CA Legislature churns out.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't California liscenses be invalid for things like Airplane travel if this law got signed? It seems to run afoul of the Real ID act!

"In other legislative action, the Assembly voted 44-30 to approve a bill that would allow illegal immigrant students who attend California public colleges and universities to receive financial aid.
SB160 by Sen. Gilbert Cedillo, D-Los Angeles, requires the University of California, the California State University and the state community college system to allow illegal immigrant students to be eligible to apply for all of their student aid programs. "

How many times is the CA legislature going to try to ram this thing through? A governor was already recalled because he signed a previous version of this insane legislation.
